Laser Treatment

  • No, due to the latest technology today, there is absolutely no pain or discomfort whilst having laser treatment.

  •  Laser hair removal works by targeting the hair follicles, which are tiny openings in the skin where hair grows, with concentrated light. The laser is drawn to the melanin pigment in the hair and is absorbed by the hair follicle, which destroys the hair without damaging the skin.

  • For the vast majority of people, the answer is ‘ Yes’

We can treat both men and women of all ethnicities and skin types however a consultation will be required before treatment to check for health problems. Also, we offer a free patch test and therefore, you are able to come in before hand to see if no reaction has occured and that you are safe to undertake the treatment.

  •   Most clients need between six to eight effective treatments spaced at a minimum of four to six weeks. The hair reduces and tend to be finer at every session. So, it is important to carry on with the sessions for long lasting results.

  • The exact length of the treatment session mainly depends on the area being treated. However, smaller areas usually take around fifteen to twenty minutes.

  • Laser hair removal is more than just “zapping” unwanted hair. It is a medical procedure that requires training and experience to provide optimum results. When you are planning to undergo laser hair removal treatment, you should stop plucking or waxing for six weeks prior to treatment. In between the treatments, shaving and cutting the hair is fine but the removal of the entire hair shaft should be avoided at all costs. Moreover, it’s better to avoid sun exposure in the treatment areas for six weeks before and after treatment whenever possible.

  • For a day or two after the treatment, your skin may look or feel sunburned. However, cool compress and moisturisers may help. You should always wear sunscreen to help prevent colour change on the treated skin.  .

  • Some people may experience temporary side effects:

    - Itching

    - Redness for up to three days

    - Swelling around follicle for up to three days

    - Tingling or numbness

The following are rare side effects/ or failed adherence to the Pre and Post-treatment instructions:

    - Micro-crusting/ Scab formation

    - Bruising

    - Purpura (Purple coloring of the skin)

    - Temporary pigment change (hyperpigmentation)

  • It is possible to just reduce the amount of hair in an area. Simply buy a package that suits you, until you are happy with the amount of hair reduced.

  • Laser eliminates extra hair by penetrating through the skin to the afflicted area. The majority of clients achieve outstanding results due to laser removal treatments. However, people with excessive hair should explore any possible underlying medical conditions with their General Physicians before getting the laser done to avoid any difficulty during the treatment.  .

  • Yes, prior to booking a laser hair removal appointment, a laser consultation and patch test are mandatory.

  • If you book an appointment, you may not be able to have the treatment as a consultation and patch test is mandatory. Instead of performing the laser treatment, you will be asked to have the consultation and patch test. Kindly note that a consultation and patch test are mandatory before proceeding with laser hair removal, ensuring your safety and optimal treatment outcomes.

It helps us ensure the safety and effectiveness of the treatment for your skin type, particularly important for specialized treatments like laser hair removal for Asian skin or sensitive areas involved in Brazilian laser procedures.

  • Most people are good candidates for laser hair removal. Our Soprano Titanium laser technology in Luton is designed to work effectively across various skin types, including Asian skin. The best way to determine your suitability is through a consultation where we assess your skin and hair type, as well as discuss your aesthetic goals.

  • To prepare for your laser hair removal treatment, avoid waxing, plucking, or electrolysis for at least 6 weeks before your session. Shaving is allowed as it preserves the hair follicle. On the day of your treatment, clean the area without any lotions, creams, or makeup.
